With the present volume begins a new series, Quaderni di Semitistica. Materiali (QuSemM), whose aim is to provide work aids of various kinds.
I am glad to present as the first volume the Index of Eblaic Texts. As well as being a necessary aid, it gives the measure of the vastness of the work done in the field of eblaic texts editing.
This book has been prepared in the context of the CNR "Studi sul lessico semitico comune" research group. I am grateful to CNR for contributing to printing costs through the "Lessicografia semitica e lessico ebraico" research program.
